"My name is Terry. I’m twenty-two years. I live here in Katwekera with my mum and my two brothers. I have just one child, he’s one year and four months old. I was born here."
I met the father on my child on social media, we started talking. He’s from around here, within the area. We are together but I can’t stay with him, he’s just supporting the baby.
I can say my experience was good, everyone was there for me. I felt supported and that felt good. I had everything I needed.
I wish for success. I want success for my daughter, that she studies well and that her life continues well. And for me, I want to put in that effort that will enable her to achieve that success.
Sometimes you look for the baby daddy to support you and he says not yet. That’s what I can say has been a challenge for me.
Overall, I can say motherhood has taught me how to be a caring person and to be present.
Terry was the most hesitant and shy person I got to work with. It was a good learning moment as I had become accustomed to everyone else being so willing and open to share. If there’s someone I would have wanted a re-do with, it’s her.
